In November 2024, Dominik Walter, CEO of pedcad, embarked on an intensive and forward-looking trip to China to strengthen and further expand the existing collaboration with partner company iSUN3D.
The trip focused not only on the exchange of innovative technologies and forward-looking strategies, but also on deepening the personal relationships between the companies.
The visit included several stops in various Chinese cities, featuring meetings with industry experts, participation in high-profile professional events, and visits to leading partner companies.
This trip marked another significant milestone in the strategic partnership and underscored the joint commitment to advancing digitalization and customization in foot health and orthopedics worldwide.
Stops on the Journey:
The trip began with a visit to the headquarters of iSUN3D in Shenzhen. iSUN3D is a Chinese company specializing in 3D printing technologies, developing customized solutions for foot health, orthopedics, and rehabilitation. The focus was on in-depth discussions about current developments in the foot health industry and the potential applications of 3D printing technology. In addition to discussing technical advancements, joint achievements were also celebrated, including the development of standardized, customer-specific solutions.
The China International Import Expo (CIIE) is one of the world’s largest platforms for international trade, offering a unique opportunity to showcase products and services on the Chinese market. In 2024, it attracted a record number of 3,496 exhibitors from 129 countries and regions worldwide. Together with iSUN3D, pedcad participated in the prestigious CIIE in Shanghai. This platform provided the opportunity to establish international connections and present the innovative approaches of both companies to a broad audience.
The next stop was the marketing headquarters of GenSci Pharma in Shanghai. The focus was on collaboration to promote foot health in children in China. With the concept of “Early Screening, Prevention, Detection, and Intervention,” the partners are pursuing a holistic approach to establish long-term preventive solutions in pediatric orthopedics.
The trip concluded with a visit to the renowned Qingfeng Orthopedic Hospital in Urumqi. Here, standardized digital foot health solutions have been successfully implemented. With a focus on innovative diagnostic techniques and rehabilitation, new opportunities are emerging for patient care.
